When is Simhastha 2028?
Simhastha is held in Ujjain once every twelve years, on the banks of the Kshipra. The 2028 Simhastha is widely reported to run from 27 March to 27 May 2028; follow official announcements from the Madhya Pradesh government and the Ujjain administration for confirmed dates and bathing days.
What is being built for it
The 46 km Indore–Ujjain Road is being widened from four to six lanes by MPRDC, with a December 2026 target (The Times of India, January 2025).
The Ujjain Development Authority has planned a permanent Kumbh city over 2,378 hectares at a cost of about Rs 5,000 crore, with wide roads, schools, hospitals and ashrams; the report noted that land pooling faced hesitation from farmers (Dainik Bhaskar, April 2025).
Living near Ujjain through Simhastha and after
Valencia Town is at Shahna on the Indore–Ujjain Road, about 40 minutes from Ujjain and the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, with Indore Airport about 25 minutes the other way. The township has a temple of its own.
Any effect of Simhastha on property prices is uncertain. Treat it as context, not a promise of returns.
